A story about Life in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, before the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The Lower 9th will follow the lives of everyday individuals, as they deal with the essential elements that made up everyday life in New Orleans: Family, NOPD, School, Work, Church, Good Food, Struggling, Maintaining and Hanging Out. The show will allow people to experience the reality of life in New Orleans, from real New Orleans Natives. It will highlight the good times and the bad times, the neighborhood crime and the neighborhood compassion. Audiences will experience the mainstream Culture, as well as the unconventional culture that makes New Orleans such a great City, and the people of New Orleans such a great people. The show will focus on realistic daily activities, and allow the audience to glimpse into the family and neighborhood structures, that allows the city to come together for the Mardi Gras, Bourbon Street and etc., and to enlighten the understanding of how life in New Orleans was before Hurricane Katrina, so that people will understand the Love and Commitment that is still alive in the City, after it was almost washed away.
